Chris Chantry was born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He attended Illinois State University to obtain a Physical Education degree and played all four years on their ice hockey team.

After college, he taught Physical Education for five years in Lyons, Illinois District 103. He is in his sixth year here at Ogden school and is also the Chicago Public School's Area 6 Sports Manager.

He currently attends Concordia University to obtain his Type 75 administrative certificate. His hobbies include all sports... especially ice hockey, rock climbing, swimming as well as playing guitar and traveling.
