MARTHA CERDA

Ms. Cerda received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois, Champaign. She has also received a Master's of Education in Reading from Loyola University of Chicago. Ms. Cerda has taken and continues to take courses in addition to her degrees to further her knowledge and understanding of the educational process and to stay current with educational research and techniques. She has worked on the south side of Chicago for the Chicago Board of Education as a reading specialist, at the Latin School of Chicago as a classroom teacher, and at Parkwood School in the Elgin U46 school district as a reading specialist. She has been at Ogden School for 16 years teaching third, fourth or fifth grade. Five years ago she became a resource teacher for grades K through 5. Her current program focuses on writing in all subjects.
